2001 saw Kennet Opera move to more work within the local community, performing with and at local schools around the area to encourage the enjoyment and participation in music and concert song. For the grand production Kennet opera, with a new musical director, Stephen Bennett, performed the one act 'verisimo' pair of Cavalleria Rusticana and I Pagliacci.
